Potassium feldspar

Potassium feldspar is a mineral raw material used in the ceramic, porcelain, glass and other industrial sectors. This group includes orthoclase and microcline feldspars, valued for their potassium oxide content and stable technological properties.

In ceramic production, potassium feldspar is used as a flux. It contributes to the formation of a glassy phase during firing, improves body sintering, increases the density of the ceramic body and helps produce items with high strength and stable geometry. The material is especially important in the production of ceramic tiles, porcelain stoneware, porcelain and sanitary ceramics.

One of the key advantages of potassium feldspar is its ability to support high whiteness of the fired body and color stability in finished products. This is particularly important for manufacturers where appearance, shade, surface quality and batch-to-batch consistency are critical.
